Wuben E2 Keychain Light Review

A tiny, magnetic plastic keychain light that punches above its weight on features, let down mainly by a cool, off-target CCT.

Since the light is built from plastic, it obviously doesn't feel super high-quality or durable, but that's exactly what makes it incredibly light, perfect for a keychain light. The button is actually pretty nice, and it's recessed enough that it won't accidentally turn on in your pocket. The magnet is strong enough to hold the light horizontally, and honestly quite strong considering how small and light the light itself is. I was genuinely surprised by how small the E2 actually is, it looked much bigger in photos, and it reminds me a lot of my previous keychain light, a Nitecore Tiki, which has pretty much the same feature set, just with more throw and power.

Turbo & Step-down: No discrete step-down - output starts at approximately 145 lm and declines steadily from the very first moments of the run.

Sustained Output: Drops quickly to roughly 100 lm within the first 30 seconds, then tapers gradually down to roughly 50-60 lm by the 20-minute mark, continuing to fade to about 20 lm by 27:00 before cutting off sharply to 0 right at 30:00, consistent with the battery's low-voltage protection kicking in.

Thermal Performance: Not logged for this review, no thermal data was recorded given the light's low output and minimal heat generation.

💭 Final Impressions

Beam Profile
The beam profile is really good for an EDC/keychain light, with a very wide spill from the short reflector, paired with a diffused, orange-peel-style hotspot. The reflector itself is neither smooth nor true orange peel, it has rings running all the way up to the lens.
Tint & Color Quality
The tint and CCT are far from great, but that's not really what was expected from a light like this. The CCT runs much higher than the 5000K Wuben claims. Thankfully the tint isn't green, but the cool CCT means the negative DUV isn't really something you notice.
Overall Verdict
It's hard to say anything bad about such a small and simple keychain light that packs in this many features, plus USB-C. The only thing that could be better is the CCT/tint, but that's also down to me being a bit of a tint snob by now.
